Frequently Asked Questions

We accept modern original artwork and Mid-Century, Contemporary, Art Deco, or Post-Modern furniture and decor in excellent, show-ready condition. Our showroom is curated, so acceptance depends on style, quality, demand, and available floor space. You’re welcome to submit multiple pieces at once; we reserve the right to accept or decline pieces at our discretion.

Please send clear photos and key details before bringing items in. Include: item name, maker/brand, purchase location or provenance (if known), approximate age, dimensions, materials, notable labels/signatures, and condition notes. Email everything to Consign@LaynasCorner.com or complete our online form. Items brought to the showroom without prior review will be declined.

We do not offer in-house pickup, but we’re happy to connect you with a third-party moving company who can assist you with pick-up and delivery. Accepted consignments can be delivered to the showroom during open hours with prior approval from staff, please provide at least a 24 hour notice.

Pricing is determined by market research—maker, condition, rarity, and demand—and agreed with you before items are brought to our showroom. Occasionally we do price deductions over time, but this is not always the case.

Yes, occasionally we purchase items on a case-by-case basis. If we purchase items from you, we pay you immediately at the negotiated price, or the amount you would have received through consignment in our store.

Our standard consignment term is typically 90–180 days, though this may vary depending on the item type and season. The contract length will be specified before we accept your pieces. While it’s your responsibility to track the end date, we often reach out at the end of contracts and you can always contact us if you have any questions.

We do our best to provide a secure environment for your merchandise, however, consigned items remain your property and risk of loss until they are sold or until the end of your contract. We do not insure your items, but we will do our best to protect them.

We will let you know when your item has sold. We usually reach out right away, but you should hear from us and receive payment within 30 days of the item being sold.

Our showroom space is limited, so any unsold item must be picked up within 14 days after your contract ends. Small art/décor may be picked up anytime during open hours, but we require consignors to notify us 24 hours in advance with their intent to pick-up unsold furniture and large items. If you do not retrieve unsold items, they will become the property of Layna’s Corner the 15th day after the contract ends.
